The case has been fully restored. A heavy duty faux leather covering and a purple cotton velvet interior. The case handle is stitched leather and the fittings are chrome plated. The interior is almost identical to its 1930s design.

Power is controlled by the large dial on the control unit which ranges from low to high - for the technically minded this operates a rheostat/potentiometer and gives an excellent range from almost zero to high. The upper knob simply selects the voltage (North America or Europe) and by default is selected to the UK

The control unit is removable and there is a hook at the back so it could (if desired) be hung on a wall. However, we think it looks beautiful inside the case.

The voltage selector switch will allow usage both in the UK/Europe and in North America. However, it does work better on a 240V supply (when switched to the 220V option and NOT the 120V option)

Naturally we have replaced the cables with modern flexible PVC and refurbished the internal electrics to the highest possible standards allowing for the original design. This includes new capacitors, double insulated interior wiring, cleaned the contact breakers, secured the cables to the control unit and any other works without interfering with its looks or performance.
